As part of our position in the world of software testing, we always try to promote testing knowledge and expertise to help better software – wherever and however it’s developed.

Our very own Geoff Thompson, AVP BFSI, is one of the founders of ISTQB, an organization founded in 2002 to provide a scheme for certifying software testers. The organization has so far created over 700,000 certified testers worldwide (making it the second largest IT certification scheme).

Geoff’s rich testing history drove him way back in 1996 to help the BCS to develop their Certified Tester Scheme. After founding ISTBQ with testing colleagues they started with establishing eight country-based member boards, with Geoff focusing on the UK chapter.

These days, with 66 member boards and 200 volunteers, they continue to certify testers and have changed their exam capability to enable people to take exams from home, as Exam Centers were no longer available due to Covid.
