QualiTest is pleased to announce a long-term managed testing services partnership with one of the biggest players in the radio broadcast industry. The client creates and broadcasts commercial-free music, sports and live events, news and comedy.

The client is also a leading provider of telematics and connected vehicles services, providing safety, security and convenience services to major automotive manufacturers. The product is available in vehicles from every major car company in the U.S. and smartphones and other connected devices.

QualiTest has performed a bountiful variety of services for the client, including automated web services, Service-Oriented Architecture, Business Information, Billing, and a Continuous Integration build.

The client approached QualiTest during a business model change from delivering products to delivering software as a service (SAAS). An integrated benefit from this change allowed the client to more quickly deliver software updates, not only to their customers, but also internally. QualiTest has expedited the delivery process by automating a large amount of their web services and billing test cases, and also by building and kicking off a Continuous Integration initiative through Jenkins.

The test automation work has been delivered efficiently through scrum teams working in one week sprints, with a goal of all specified tests being automated through the test cycle. The work was particularly complex, as the client provides different pricing and packaging models to different car dealers, with over 40,000 packages and plans combinations available at a time. 5 teams worked to automate over 1000 test cases, with each team consisting of a test lead, a tester, a developer and a Business Associate. This plan enabled each team to support multiple projects at once, while constructing repeatable test scenarios.

Leslie Segal, Test Manager of the project, says, “I have loved working with this client over the past couple of years. The work that they are doing in the entertainment and transportation business has been truly groundbreaking, and I am proud to have been a part of their success”.
