Qualitest has recently stepped up to offer its expertise to help ensure the safety of motorized scooters in Israel. The usage of motorized scooters in Israel, and in Tel Aviv particularly, has vastly increased in the past few years and this has had a profound impact on the safety of pedestrians as well as the riders of the scooters themselves. In the past year, there has been an increase of 25% in the number of injuries as a result of using these vehicles, with eight people injured every single day.

“In order for people to give up comfort and move away from the comfort of their cars and switch to scooters, it’s critical that this product adheres to a very high standard of quality, price – and especially safety.”

Qualitest conducted a report that examined the safety and reliability as well as the user experience, data security of motorized scooters from various providers in order to provide the public with transparency and helpful information for people to make educated choices, as well as bring to light the problematic areas of this technology and its usage.

Qualitest’s MD of Israel & Eastern Europe, Shai Liberman, said: “In order for people to give up comfort and move away from the comfort of their cars and switch to scooters, it’s critical that this product adheres to a very high standard of quality, price – and especially safety. The goal of this report is to help improve the quality of these vehicles so that we can all safely enjoy them.”

The special report was featured on Israel’s leading TV channel, Channel 13. To watch the news item on Channel 13 (Hebrew) click here.
