What is the Internet of Things?
The Internet of Things (IoT) is a network of physical objects or “things” that are embedded with sensors, software, and other technologies. IoT lets these objects connect and exchange data with other devices and systems over the internet.
These objects can be everyday items like household appliances, vehicles, wearables and industrial machinery. They can also be more specialized items like environmental sensors and medical equipment.
The interaction between these devices and centralized systems creates a vast information-sharing and processing ecosystem in real-time.
